<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pottery kiln in which black smoke and offensive odor are hardly discharged out of a flue even at an early time of changing of atmosphere in a firing chamber of the kiln into reduction atmosphere.SOLUTION: This invention comprises a firing chamber A in which a flame extends in a direction toward a mounted clay molding; a secondary combustion chamber C partitioned by a partition ceiling 6 acting as a division wall that can be heat exchanged with the firing chamber A where primary combustion gas generated at the firing chamber A and air fed through an air introduction passage 8a opened at an inner wall surface are mixed to each other, and combustible components in the primary combustion gas is subjected to secondary combustion; a flue part B for connecting the firing chamber A with the secondary combustion chamber C; and a chimney D opened at the inner wall surface of the secondary combustion chamber C so as to discharge secondary combustion gas out of the kiln. A flame hole 14 passing through the partition ceiling 6 in such a way that a part of the flame in the firing chamber A advances into the secondary combustion chamber C is formed, and within the secondary combustion chamber C is formed a metering part C2 where the air introduction passage 8a is opened at the inner wall surface that is narrower than that of the portion ranging from the flame hole 14 to the opening part of the chimney D.</p> |
