PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that forms images on a continuous sheet and performs image density control even during image formation processing.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: image forming means for transferring a toner image on an image holding body to a continuous sheet to form an image; and control means for controlling, before image formation on the continuous sheet, the image forming means so as to form a density adjustment toner image on the image holding body while the image holding body and the continuous sheet are separated from each other and performing a first density control based on the density of the density adjustment toner image, and performing, during the image formation on the continuous sheet, a second density control different from the first density control while the image holding body and the continuous sheet are in contact with each other. |
