<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information acquisition device that enables a time required for acquisition of a time waveform to be shortened.SOLUTION: An information acquisition device has: a branch unit 108 that branches light from a light source 101 into pump light and probe light; a terahertz wave generation unit 102; a terahertz wave detection unit 103; a fiber 104a through which the pump light and the probe light propagate; a change unit 104b that changes an optical passage length of the fiber; a waveform construction unit 106 that constructs a time waveform of the terahertz wave; and an acquisition unit 107 that acquires information about the optical passage length of the fiber. The acquisition unit comprises: a branch unit that branches the pre-propagated pump light or probe light into first light and second light; a formation part that forms interference light with the first light propagating through the fiber and the second light not propagating through the fiber; and a light detection unit that detects intensity of the interference light, and the waveform construction unit extracts a detection result of the terahertz wave detection unit on the basis of a detection result of the light detection unit, and thereby constructs the time waveform.</p> |
