PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new-type mechanism of information transmission capable of overcoming the problems of two-dimensional bar codes.SOLUTION: An information transmission system includes: an information display device 1 that changes the content of display of the depth of cells on a display screen 11 according to control signals from a control device 2 to display information; and an information reading device 5 that measures three-dimensional coordinates of the cells on the display screen from speckle patterns produced by coherent light, determines changes in the depth of the cells on the display screen, and converts the displayed information into corresponding information with reference to a conversion table on the basis of the display state for each of the cells.
