<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary brake allowing a user sitting in a seat to reliably change an attitude to an attitude of locking a tire.SOLUTION: The auxiliary brake includes: a swing arm member; a cam member 14 allowing rotation of a tire 4 on the basis of an attitude of the swing arm member; and a wire member 16 for connecting between the swing arm member and the cam member 14. In a state where the cam member 14 is disposed at a peripheral surface of the tire 4 and a user 45 sits in a seat part 2, a calf 51 of the user 45 is held by a leg belt 11 and the cam member 14 is in an attitude of allowing the rotation of the tire 4. In a state where the user 45 removes a foot 50 from a foot plate 7a for standing up from the seat part 2 and steps on the ground, the calf 51 of the user 45 presses the leg belt 11 rearward and, triggered by the force, force for moving a wheelchair body 1a rearward is acted thereon to change the attitude of the cam member 14 to an attitude of preventing the rotation of the tire 4.</p> |
