PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather radar system and a weather observation method capable of improving time resolution of weather information under a condition that the weather observation range may differ depending on the observation direction.SOLUTION: Plural transmission/reception modules are controlled to selectively turn ON/OFF to change the antenna aperture, to thereby change the expansion of transmission beam depending on the direction or range to observe weather target.
