PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous secondary battery having excellent load characteristics and a high initial charge/discharge efficiency.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous secondary battery includes: a positive electrode having a positive electrode active material layer on one side or both sides of a collector; a negative electrode having a negative electrode active material layer on one side or both sides of a collector; and a nonaqueous electrolyte containing a lithium salt and an organic solvent. The nonaqueous electrolyte has a lithium salt concentration of 2-7 mol/L, and contains, as an organic solvent, a nitrile-based solvent and at least one carbonate selected from a cyclic carbonate and a chain carbonate. In each of the negative electrode active material layer and the positive electrode active material layer, the area of a non-opposing section where an active material layer of one electrode does not face an active material laye of another electrode is 15% or less of the area of an opposing section where the active material layers face with each other. |
