PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facility which eliminates the need of transferring components from a returnable container to a conveyance pallet, and to provide a facility and method enabling installation of an automatic storage on a floor which has different load resistances depending on portions.SOLUTION: A second-floor floor 44 is locally thinner by various reasons. That is, the second-floor floor 44 comprises a portion P1 whose thickness is T1 and portions P2 and P3 which have thicknesses T2 and T3, respectively, which are significantly larger than the thickness T1. A first shelf 63 is applied to the portions P2 and P3. A second shelf 64 is applied to the portion P1. Because of the load resistance differences on the floor, heavy articles cannot be put on the second shelf 64. On the other hand, the first shelf 63 does not have such limits. A control part makes the decision to put light articles onto the first shelf 64 and heavy articles onto the second shelf 64. Since the second shelf is arranged in a portion of the floor with a small load resistance, the automatic storage can be installed on a floor which has different load resistances depending on portions. |
