PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a metal thin film having low resistivity excellent in conductivity by using a metal fine particle dispersion by overheat steam treatment, and to provide a printed circuit board produced by the method.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing a metal thin film including a process in which a coating film including a metal fine particle dispersion is formed and then the coating film is subjected to heating treatment by overheat steam while subjected to compression treatment.
