PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately detect an object intruding between a power transmission apparatus and a power reception apparatus in a contactless feed system.SOLUTION: An object detection sensor 165 detects an object present between a power transmission apparatus 220 and a power reception apparatus 110 in a contactless feed system 10. The object detection device includes a transmission section 166 for radiating an electromagnetic wave between the power transmission apparatus and the power reception apparatus, a reception section 167 for receiving an electromagnetic wave reflected by the object, and a control section 168. The control section determines the type of the object on the basis of a reception strength of the reflected electromagnetic wave and a relative velocity of the object. The control section determines that the object is a moving body if the relative velocity is not lower than a first velocity nor higher than a second velocity and the reception strength is not lower than a first strength nor higher than a second strength. The control section determines that the object is a stationary body if the relative velocity is not higher than a third velocity lower than the first velocity and the reception strength is not lower than the first strength nor higher than the second strength. |
