PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection device in which even when external light beams from various directions are incident on the projection device, illuminances of the external light beams are accurately detected, and projection light can be set at proper brightness.SOLUTION: A projection device 1 includes: a housing 2 having a front surface 3, a rear surface 4, a left side surface 5, a right side surface 6, an upper surface 7, and a lower surface 8; a display element 45 that is provided within the housing 2; a light source device 47 that is provided within the housing 2; a projection optical system 10 that projects light irradiated onto the display element 45; a plurality of illuminance sensors 23 to 27 that are respectively provided to the front surface 3, the rear surface 4, the left side surface 5, the right side surface 6, and the upper surface 7, detect illuminances of received light beams, and output detection values thereof; and a main controller 50 that reads a plurality of detection values D3 to D8 outputted from the plurality of illumination sensors 23 to 27 and sets intensity of the light source device 47 by using the detection values D3 to D8. |
