PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid developer which has excellent low-temperature fixability, ensures appropriate glossiness and fixing strength, and can prevent occurrence of high-temperature offset and document offset.SOLUTION: The liquid developer comprises toner particles dispersed in an insulating liquid, wherein the toner particles comprise a core resin, a shell resin that is different from the core resin, and a colorant. The core resin contains a crystalline urethane-modified polyester resin. A storage modulus of a solid content of the liquid developer, which corresponds to a part of the liquid developer excluding the insulating liquid, is 1×10Pa or more and 5×10Pa or less at 80°C. When an absolute value of a change amount (|&Dgr;log(G')/&Dgr;T|) in a logarithmic value (log(G')) of a storage modulus (G') of the solid content in the liquid developer at a temperature T (°C) satisfies an expression (1):|&Dgr;log(G')/&Dgr;T|>0.1, the lowest temperature is 45°C or higher. |
