PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently retrieve dictionary data based upon received kana characters.SOLUTION: A dictionary retrieval device includes: a display part which displays characters; a character reception part which receives input of kana characters; an indication reception part (212) which receives instructions; dictionary data (130) comprising a plurality of index words, readings of the index words, and detail information on the index words; a retrieval part (220) which performs retrieval using the dictionary data; a conversion candidate display part which displays a character string as at least a part of a retrieved index word as a conversion candidate at the display part after the retrieval part retrieves the index word including the kana character as a reading from the dictionary part when an instruction to convert the kana character is received after the kana character is received; and a retrieval result display part which displays the detail information on an index word including the conversion candidate as an index word at the display part after the retrieval part retrieves the detail information from the dictionary data when an instruction to retrieve the detail information on the conversion candidate is received while the conversion candidate is displayed at the display part. |
