PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery long in life and high in output.SOLUTION: In the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having an electrode plate group 3 including a plurality of laminate groups 3a-3d each comprising a positive electrode plate 35 and a negative electrode plate 37 laminated via a separator 39, the thickness of a positive/negative electrode plate mixture layer of one or more laminate groups 3b, 3c located around the center of the electrode plate group 3 is made thinner than the thickness of a positive/negative electrode plate mixture layer of the outermost laminate groups 3a, 3d of the electrode plate group, and the number of the electrode plates at a center part of the electrode plate group is increased. Thereby, a thermal distribution during charge/discharge is leveled and the distance between the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate is reduced, and also a facing area is increased to achieve higher output. Accordingly, a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery long in life and high in output can be provided. |
