<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system in which a slave station having no multi-hop communication function can transmit data to a master station through a multi-hop communication network and meter reading data can be acquired from the slave station even when the slave station cannot construct a communication route with the master station.SOLUTION: A communication system has a master station 1, plural first slave stations 2 that construct a communication route with the master station 1 to construct a multi-hop communication network, a second slave station 3 which does not belong to the multi-hop communication network, and a meter reading unit 6 carried by a user. The master station 1 and the first slave station 2 perform multi-hop communication with each other, and the first slave station 2 and the second slave station 3 perform communication with each other, thereby performing an automatic meter reading operation of acquiring data from the first slave station 2 and the second slave station 3 by the master station 1. The meter reading unit 6 performs communication with each of the first slave station 2 and the second slave station 3, thereby performing a manual meter reading operation of acquiring data from the first slave station 2 and the second slave station 3.</p> |
