<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of a photoacoustic wave due to irradiation of a probe with direct light in photoacoustic tomography.SOLUTION: A subject information acquisition device includes: irradiation means for irradiating a subject with light; irradiation position control means for controlling an irradiation position for irradiating the subject with light; a probe for receiving an acoustic wave generated when the subject is irradiated with light from the irradiation means at a position facing the irradiation means with the subject in between, and outputting an acoustic wave signal; probe control means for controlling the probe when receiving the acoustic wave; a control processor for controlling at least one of the irradiation position control means and the probe control means so that light does not directly enter the probe without passing the subject; and configuration means for configuring characteristic information in the subject from the acoustic wave signal.</p> |
