PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for removing unnecessary plants or weeds from an area of a farm land or a grass plot, etc.SOLUTION: The invention includes: three-dimensional imagers configured so as to capture an image of a plant and position the plant; an image processor configured so as to distinguish between a necessary plant and an unnecessary plant based on the captured plant image; at least one removal device configured so as to damage a target on an unnecessary plant; a guiding system configured so as to direct at least one laser beam to the unnecessary plant; a stabilization system configured so as to provide feedback compensation to one or both of the three-dimensional imager and the guiding system; and a chassis configured so as to support the three-dimensional imager, the laser device, the guiding system, and the stabilization system. The chassis is configured so as to move over different areas.
