PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a culture tank for photosynthetic microorganisms and a culture apparatus for photosynthetic microorganisms which allow cost reduction.SOLUTION: A culture tank for photosynthetic microorganisms has a circulation water channel in which a culture solution M containing photosynthetic microorganisms circulates. A cross-sectional shape D of a water channel is formed by cutting the water channel by a plane which has a normal in a flow direction X of the culture solution M circulating in the circulation water channel. The width of the cross-sectional shape becomes narrower toward the lower side of the shape. A culture apparatus for photosynthetic microorganisms includes the culture tank for photosynthetic microorganisms, a circulation agitation device, a diffused gas supply device, a photosynthetic microorganism recovery device, and a control device. The control device controls the photosynthetic microorganism recovery device so that the rotating speed of a paddle during recovery operation is slower than that during culture operation.
