PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pattern forming body in which the predetermined amount of information (third authentication technology) is newly embedded by using an element constituting a primary authentication technology employing parallel lines, without having a visually large influence.SOLUTION: A pattern forming body of the present invention includes a latent image section and a background section at least in a portion of an area of a base material, in which parallel lines formed by any of ink, a metal deposited film, irregularities of the base material, or watermark are segmented by the difference of any of a phase, the arrangement direction of streaks, glossiness, a reflected amount, or a transmission amount. Also, the latent image can visually be recognized by a predetermined observation condition. In at least one streak or non-printing area forming the parallel lines, there are arranged a plurality of cells binary-encoded by any of the presence/absence of the ink, thick/thin, dark/light, color difference, or presence/absence of the metal deposited film, thick/thin, or the irregularities of the base material or a difference of light/dark by watermark. At least one streak or non-printing area has at least one pattern where the cells are arranged corresponding to information. |
