PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-screen image taken by identical stroboscopic light emission without providing a period for stroboscopic exposure in a stroboscopic imaging using a rolling shutter.SOLUTION: An image pickup device continuously reads pixel signals from a CMOS image sensor 14 by a rolling shutter system. The image pickup device causes an LED 16 to emit stroboscopic light concurrently with a voice produced by a subject. The image pickup device holds, in an image memory 28 as a lower-side image, a pixel signal of the line to be read out after the stroboscopic light emission of a frame that is read out from the CMOS image sensor 14 when the stroboscopic light is emitted. In a next frame, after directly outputting a pixel signal of a line in an upper side of the lower-side image of the previous frame to an image signal processing part 27, the image pickup device outputs the lower-side image of the previous frame held in the image memory 28 to the image signal processing part 27. |
