PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing apparatus that prevents the occurrence of transfer blur due to the impact when a sheet enters a pressurizing unit of a nip, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A fixing apparatus of an embodiment includes a fixing belt laid over a plurality of support rollers, and an endless rotation part forming a nip with the fixing belt, and further includes a fixing unit that holds and conveys a recording medium with the nip, and a control unit that controls the fixing unit at a first fixing speed while the leading edge of the recording medium passes through at least a part of the nip and controls the fixing unit at a second fixing speed faster than the first fixing speed after the control at the first fixing speed. |
