PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of an optical film laminate including a step of orienting and dyeing a laminate having a resin substrate and a PVA resin layer to obtain a thin polarizing film on the resin substrate, in which undesirable curling upon removing the resin substrate is prevented, and thereby, problems such as generation of foams and wrinkles upon laminating the film to an optical cell can be prevented.SOLUTION: The production method of an optical film laminate includes steps of: orienting and dyeing a laminate 10 comprising a resin substrate 11 and a polyvinyl alcohol resin layer formed on one surface of the resin substrate to form a polarizing film 12 on the resin substrate; laminating a first protective film 21 on an opposite side of the polarizing film to the resin substrate; and peeling the resin substrate and laminating a second protective film 22 on a side of the polarizing film where the resin substrate is peeled. The first protective film is to be disposed on an optical cell side, while the second protective film is to be disposed on an opposite side to the optical cell. |
