<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording medium binder that maintains mechanical strengths of a resin such as tension breaking strength and the like even under a high temperature of 100°C or higher generated when a magnetic tape is running and has excellent durability (such as heat resistance and friction resistance).SOLUTION: The magnetic recording medium binder includes polyurethane resin (C) obtained by reacting an active hydrogen component (A) with an organic polyisocyanate component (B). The active hydrogen component (A) contains polyester polyol (a1) having a number average molecular weight of 10,000-50,000 and a glass-transition temperature of 50-150°C, and the polyurethane resin (C) has a glass-transition temperature of 70-160°C.</p> |
