PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision avoidance support device configured to prevent a collision of an own vehicle with another vehicle approaching from the rear when the own vehicle's turning right or left.SOLUTION: A collision avoidance support device 1 includes: a rear left detector 2 which detects a situation on the rear left side of an own vehicle V; a rear right detector 3 which detects a situation on the rear right side of the own vehicle V; an HMI device which alerts a driver to another vehicle T; and an ECU 5 which controls operation of the HMI device 4 on the basis of results obtained by the rear left detector 2 and the rear right detector 3. The ECU 5 alerts the driver when detecting approach of the vehicle T when the own vehicle V turns right, on the basis of the result of the rear left detector 2. The ECU 5 alerts the driver when detecting approach of the vehicle T when the own vehicle V turns left, on the basis of the result of the rear right detector 3.
