PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct meandering of a fixing belt without causing complexity of a configuration of a fixing device.SOLUTION: A fixing device 20 according to the present invention includes: a fixing belt 28 that is rotatably provided; a pressure member 30 that is brought into pressure contact with the fixing belt 28 to form a fixing nip, and rotatably provided; and a driving source 102 that rotates the fixing belt 28 and pressure member 30. In a stand-by state while the driving source 102 rotates the fixing belt 28 and pressure member 30, the driving source 102 switches the direction of rotation of the fixing belt 28 and pressure member 30.
