<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sea urchin-shaped iron oxide photocatalyst having a high specific surface area and showing high photocatalyst activity, and a method for producing the photocatalyst.SOLUTION: Provided is a sea urchin-shaped iron oxide photocatalyst being urchin-shaped grains formed in such a manner that one edge of acicular iron oxide gathers, in which the specific surface area is 200 m/g or higher. The sea urchin-shaped iron oxide photocatalyst being the grains having a diameter of about 0.4 to 6μm, and can be produced by adding sulfuric acid ions to an aqueous solution containing iron (III) ions and performing heating.</p> |
