Disclosed are an electronic device and a method to control the electronic device. The electronic device according to an embodiment of the present invention is able to: determine an operation mode of the electronic device including two display modules and having a watch phone function; set one of the two display modules into an activated state according to the operation mode; change the display module of the activated state into an inactivated state and change the display module of the inactivated state into the activated state when the operation mode is changed; and display information through the display module of the activated state.
