PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably and surely detect over a long term, the abnormally suspended state in which a part of steel wires is suspended from a coil conveyor in a sagging state.SOLUTION: There is provided an abnormality detection device 1 detecting the abnormally suspended state in which a part of steel wires W is suspended from a coil conveyor 11 in a sagging state when conveying the steel wires W winded in a coil form after rolling in a suspended state using the coil conveyor 11. The detection device 1 comprises a detection sensor 17 which hangs below and has a sagging lead wire 18 to which a voltage is applied, and an abnormality detection part 19 detecting that the wire sagging from the coil conveyor 11 contacts the sagging lead wire 18 and an electric current caused by the voltage flows, and determining that the wire is in an abnormally suspended state by a detected current. |
