PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal oil trap tank which stably stores and discharges a seal oil with a simple structure.SOLUTION: A seal oil trap tank 1 includes: a trap tank 20 which houses a seal oil therein and separates hydrogen; an oil level sensor 2 which detects an oil level of the trap tank 20; an outlet valve 5 which discharges the seal oil from the trap tank 20 to an outlet pipe 12; and an arithmetic processing unit 8 which receives a signal indicating the oil level from the oil level sensor 2 and controls the opening/closing of the outlet valve 5 to adjust the oil level in the trap tank 20 to a predetermined reference level.
