PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seedling transplanter capable of reducing a resistance from a ridge soil when an enlarged hole is dug, thereby to prevent the pushed soil from being left on the front part side of the enlarged hole when the enlarge hole is dug.SOLUTION: A seedling transplanter is provided, at a moving machine T, with: a seedling planter U having a seedling planting tool U1; a seedling feeder K for feeding seedling N to the seedling planting tool U1; and an enlarged hole digging mechanism 130 for forming an enlarged hole W2 in a ridge R. The enlarged hole digging mechanism 130 includes: a support rod 132 having its front part hinged to the moving machine T and moving upward and downward in association with the vertical movements of the seedling planting tool U1; a spade member 131 disposed at the rear part of the support rod 132 for protruding into the ridge R by the downward movement of the support lever 132 thereby to form the enlarged hole W2 from the back to the front of a position scheduled to form a seedling planting hole W1. The spade member 131 includes: left and right wing parts 131L and 131R for protruding into the ridge R thereby to push the ridge soil from the central side to the right and left; and a scooping part 131S disposed in the lower portions of those left and right wing parts 131L and 131R for scooping up the ridge soil. |
