<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head wiping device which removes an ink penetrating into a gap between head modules and prevents discharge failure of a nozzle which is caused by drawing the ink from the nozzle during maintenance of a nozzle surface, and to provide a droplet discharge device and a line head wiping method.SOLUTION: A line head wiping device 100 wipes a nozzle surface 33 and includes: a belt-like wiping web 110; a delivery shaft 122 which delivers the wiping web 110; a take-up shaft 124 which is rotationally driven and takes up the wiping web 110; contact means 126 which places the wiping web 110 positioned between the delivery shaft 122 and the take-up shaft 124 in contact with the nozzle surface; drive means 130 which drives the take-up shaft 124; and plasma irradiation means 180 which applies plasma to the wiping web 110 between the delivery shaft 122 and the contact means 126.</p> |
