<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a reduction in a burden of a manual operation performed by an operator, while making a rotating shaft rotatable with great torque by transmitting output of a driving source to the rotating shaft via a reduction gear.SOLUTION: An image recording apparatus includes: a rotating shaft for supporting a recording medium; a driving source that can rotate the rotating shaft; a reduction gear that reduces output of the driving source to impart it to the rotating shaft; and an output transmission switching part that selectively performs the first operation of connecting a transmission path for the output from the reduction gear to the rotating shaft and the second operation of interrupting the transmission path for the output from the reduction gear to the rotating shaft.</p> |
