PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printer and a printing method, which make dot omission inconspicuous and achieve improvement of printing quality.SOLUTION: An ink jet printer comprises: a print head which includes a plurality of nozzles discharging ink; a nozzle location identification unit which identifies the position of a first nozzle failing to discharge ink from among the nozzles; and a printing control unit which causes the nozzles to discharge ink on the basis of the image data. The printing control unit corrects density of pixels determined based on the image data in which density of a second pixel adjacent to a first pixel to be printed by the first nozzle identified by the nozzle location identification unit is increased, and density of a third pixel adjacent to the second pixel other than the first pixel is decreased. |
