PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smart battery that is provided with an electronic circuit for communicating with an electronic device and for managing a power-supply voltage.SOLUTION: A smart battery (1) includes an electronic circuit (10) for managing a power-supply voltage connected to a battery (2). The electronic circuit includes a battery end-of-life detector (3), a management unit (7), an oscillator stage (4), a DC-DC converter (6) powered on when the power-supply voltage of the battery (2) is close or equal to a battery end-of-life threshold, and a data or command communication interface (8). The data or command communication interface (8) is a 1-wire interface that is connected to a positive power-supply voltage terminal of the smart battery for transmitting a modulated data or a command signal through one of the power-supply voltage terminals. |
