PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zeolite catalyst having high olefin selection frequency by enhancing activity of a metal component without increasing the amount of the metal component.SOLUTION: There is provided zeolite containing indium and having a molar ratio of silica to alumina of 200 or more and a maximum diameter of a pore of 0.4 nm to 0.7 nm. The indium content is preferably less than 20 wt.%. The zeolite can be used as a catalyst having high olefin selection frequency from ethanol per indium, especially selection frequency of propylene.
