<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound machine which can be easily operated by a portable terminal device used by a user.SOLUTION: A compound machine 1 comprises: a document reading part for reading a document image on paper placed on a document platen 12; a printing part; and an operation panel 13 for accepting an operation input from a user. The compound machine 1 further comprises: a communication part 15 for detecting a portable terminal device 2 placed on the document platen 12, and receiving from the portable terminal device 2 attitude information indicating the present attitude of the portable terminal device 2 with short-range radio communication; and a control part for, when the communication part 15 detects the portable terminal device 2 placed, determining the operation mode of the compound machine 1 according to the attitude information received by the communication part 15.</p> |
