The present invention relates to an electronic device and a control method thereof for enabling a user to output a desired image and a voice by storing setting information when a data source device is connected to the electronic device. The electronic device of the present invention includes: a wireless communication unit which is connected to the data source device wirelessly and receives image and voice from the data source device; an image output unit which outputs the processed image; a voice output unit which outputs the processed voice; a storing unit which stores the setting information for the image and voice; and a control unit which registers the data source device if the data source device is not registered by determining whether the data source device is registered when the first connection of the data source device, stores at least one setting information among the image and voice to correspond to the registered data source device in a storing unit; and controlling the output of at least one among the image and voice based on the stored setting information if at least one among the image and voice is received from the data source device when the second connection of the data source device. The present invention enables the user to view easily and conveniently the image and voice by receiving the image and voice due to preventing repeated setting change work whenever the image and voice are received from the data source device.
