The present invention relates to an air conditioner for a vehicle and, more specifically, to a three-piece type air conditioner which allows air discharged from an evaporator unit to pass through a heater unit at a regular flow rate by forming a passage reducing part with a reduced air passage around the upstream of a heater core in the flow direction of air discharged from the evaporator unit around the heater unit. Therefore, the air conditioner for a vehicle allows air to be discharged from a plurality of air outlets of the heater unit at a regular flow rate, thereby improving temperature properties and performance.
