<p>A radial run-out tool (2), in particular, a drill or a cutter, has a basic body (12) extending in an axial direction (4), a guiding chamfer (22) includes at least two chip recesses (14) connected in a rotational direction (24), and a ridge (15) is formed therebetween. A radial clearance is connected to the guiding chamfer (22). In order to manufacture the radial run-out tool (2) of such type simply and economically, in a first processing step, a non-processed rod (30) is ground non-concentrically such that a radius (R) of the non-processed rod (30) is varied according to angles between a maximum radius (R2) and a minimum radius (R1). In a second processing step, the chip recesses (14) are ground such that the guiding chamfer (22) is formed in a position of the maximum radius (R2), and the guiding chamfer (22) is reduced to continue to a lower stream such that the radius (R) forms the radial clearance (28).</p> |
