Disclosed are an apparatus for drawing optical fibers and a method for drawing optical fibers using the same. The apparatus comprises: a crucible which accommodates a core source and a clad source and which has a bottom hole passing the core source and the clad source; and a plug arranged below the crucible and passing the inside of the bottom hole. The plug can comprise: a bottom plug sealing the bottom hole below the crucible; and a first upper plug arranged on the bottom plug and going through the bottom hole.
