PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve anchoring stability of a bone anchor when being implanted in an osteoporotic, cancellous, or fractured bone material.SOLUTION: A bone anchor 1 includes a body having a head part 6 and a shank 2 and a longitudinal recess 3. The recess extends from a first end through a part of the head part to a second end along a part of the shank and is configured to receive a pin-shaped element 4 therein. The bone anchor further includes a stop part 36 that is configured to engage or abut on a distal end portion 43 of the pin-shaped element and is provided on the second end of the recess and a locking structure 5 provided to be adjacent to the first end of the recess. The locking structure engages a proximal end portion 42 of the pin-shaped element, and exerts biasing force on the proximal end portion toward the stop part to apply stress on an intermediate portion 44 of the pin-shaped element and to bend the intermediate portion in a transverse direction away from the shank. |
