PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unintended interference of an air bag inflating and deploying from a seat belt to a head part of an occupant.SOLUTION: A vehicular occupant-protector 10 is configured so that, when an ECU 60 detects front collision, an inflator 46 is actuated. At this time, in an air bag 42 disposed in a folded state on a lap belt 24B, into a lower bag part 42B for chest and belly parts-restraining, gas is supplied. The gas supplied to the lower bag part 42B is supplied to an upper bag part 42A for head part-restraining after passing a communication port 54 of a vertically partition cloth 50 and a check valve 52. Thereby the upper bag part 42A starts to inflate and expand after the lower bag part 42B starts to inflate and deploy. Into the upper bag part 42A, gas is further supplied when the lower bag part 42B is compressed by a chest part C and a belly part B of an occupant P forward inclining by the inertia force. Thereby inflation and deployment of the upper bag part 42A are completed. |
