<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal manufacturing method capable of manufacturing the terminal by laser welding with improved laser beam absorption efficiency, and shielding an electric wire conductor from outside without enlarging a crimping part of a terminal, a terminal, an electric wire end edge connection structure manufacturing method, and electric wire end edge connection structure.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a terminal 1 having a tubular caulking part 30 crimped and jointed to an electric wire sequentially has steps of: forming a nickel-zinc alloy layer on a plate material made of copper or a copper alloy at least at a portion where the tubular caulking part is formed; forming a terminal substrate by punching the plate material on which the nickel-zinc alloy layer is formed into a development elevational view of the terminal; bending a tubular development part serving as a portion forming the tubular caulking part of the terminal substrate; forming an abutting part by abutting opposed ends of the development part to each other; jointing the abutting part by laser welding (50); and forming the tubular caulking part 30.</p> |
