<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device of IPS system capable of improving the opening ratio of pixels.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate and a second substrate which are disposed facing each other with a liquid crystal interposed therebetween. The first substrate includes a first common electrode which has an opening formed therein. The second substrate includes: a data signal line; a gate signal line; a pixel electrode; and a second common electrode which is dispose at the display plane side with respect to the pixel electrode including an opening. In a planer view, both of the first common electrode and the second common electrode are disposed so as to overlap with the data signal line. In a planer view, an end of the second common electrode in a column direction of a portion overlapping with the data signal line, overlaps with the pixel electrode.</p> |
