The invention relates to a key module (1) and to a slip-on element (18) for a key module (1). The key module (1) has a housing (2) and a tappet (3) arranged in the housing (2). The tappet (3) is linearly movable between an upper stop position (4) and a lower stop position (5), limited by an upper stop (6) and a lower stop (7), wherein an elastic element arranged in the housing (2) presses the tappet (3) into the upper stop position (4), and wherein an actuation force exerted by a user presses the tappet (3) into the lower stop position (5) and in the process reversibly compresses the elastic element. The invention is characterised in that the lower stop (7) is formed to reduce the impact noises by a first damping element (8) and the upper stop (6) is formed to reduce the impact noises by a second damping element (9). The slip-on element (18) has a support element (19) to which are attached a first damping element (8) for reducing the impact noises at the lower stop (7) and a second damping element (9) for reducing the impact noises at the upper stop (6). The support element (19) has means for fitting the slip-on element (18) onto an outer side of the housing (2) of the key module (1).
