<p>A flip-up seat device (20) for vehicles, capable of flipping up a seat (21) for vehicles having a seat back (32) thereof in a folded posture, towards the front (Fr) around a support shaft (42) by using the energizing torque (Ts) of a torsion coil spring (50). The energizing torque of the torsion coil spring relative to the torsion angle (θ) has, relative to the return torque (Tr) at which the seat tries to return to the folded position (P1) due to its own weight, a balance point (Br) at which the energizing torque is balanced and an energizing torque prioritization range (At) in which the energizing torque is greater. The balance point is set to a point substantially positioned at a center position (P2), between the folded position and an upright position (P3) for the seat. The energizing torque prioritization range is set to a range in which the seat is positioned closer to the folded position than the center position.</p> |
