CONTINUOUS BATCH TUNNEL WASHER AND WASHING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a method for washing fabric articles in a continuous batch tunnel washer.SOLUTION: A method for washing fabric articles in a tunnel washer includes moving the fabric articles from the intake part of the washer to the discharge part of the washer through first and second sectors where a pre-wash zone is provided. A liquid forms a counter flow along a flow path in a direction substantially opposite to the movement direction of the fabric articles. A main wash zone can be optionally heated. In the wash zone, a pre-rinse and/or a rinse is performed. The fabric articles are transferred to a water extraction machine, and excess water is removed. An acidic solution can be added to the fabric articles while the excess water is extracted.
