PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of detecting that a storage container is replaced, without adding exclusive detection means.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 200 includes: a developing device 5a developing an electrostatic latent image formed on a photoreceptor drum 1a by using toner; a bottle attaching part to which a toner bottle 20a storing the toner is attached; a driving motor 60 rotating a storage container 20a attached to the bottle attaching part; a rotation detection sensor 58 outputting a predetermined signal, according to the rotational state of the storage container 20a rotated by the driving motor 60; a CPU 70 controlling the driving motor 60, on the basis of an output result by the rotation detection sensor 58; and a detection part detecting that the toner bottle 20a attached to the attaching part is pulled out, when the predetermined signal is not output in such a state that the predetermined signal is output from the rotation detection sensor 58 and in such a state that the storage container 20a is not rotated. |
