PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoelectric material, excellent in adiathermancy, having low thermal conductivity, process of manufacturing the same, and thermoelectric conversion device using the thermoelectric material.SOLUTION: The thermoelectric material has any one of magnesium, a silicon alloy, a magnesium-silicon-tin alloy, silicon, or a silicon germanium alloy as a main component and is composed of a porous material having numerous fine pores.
