The strain wave gear device unit (1) is provided with an internal gear (2), which surrounds the periphery of a cup-shaped external gear (3), and a bearing (7). An annular gap (25) is formed between the inner ring (9) of the bearing (7) and the internal gear (2). The gap (25) communicates with the sliding portions of the bearing (7) and the section (28) where the two gears (2, 3) mesh. An annular filter member (26) made of non-woven fabric is fitted in the gap (25). Foreign matter such as abrasion powder, which is contained in lubricant that flows in the gap (25), is trapped by the filter member (26). The present invention can prevent penetration of abrasion powder generated in the sliding portions into the meshing section (28) via the gap (25). |
